1. Tingkat Party
Delve into all things local at the Local Lingo Tingkat Party along Chinatown Food Street this November!
The Local People (TLP), an advocate for the Singaporean arts culture, promises an indie art and music market in celebration of both old and new Singapore. Expect handmade wares and crafts by Singaporean designers, such as enamel pins, prints and stickers featuring quirky one-liners, puns and all things uniquely Singaporean.

2. Let’s Go Jalan Jalan
As a kid, the phrase that gets us the most excited would be “let’s go “kai kai”/ “jalan jalan””. This November, get nostalgic in this three-day carnival that includes a creative heritage trail, culinary workshops, live music, games and a host of food for you to munch on.
Look out for ice balls, muah chee, goreng pisang, and traditional Malay kuehs!

3. Sunset Cinema
Keep your Tuesday nights free for Popcorn Movie Nights at Sentosa, a weekly film screening at Sentosa. These free movie screening sessions began on October 17, and will feature Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen on 7th November, as well as The Secret Life of Pets on 14th November. Pixar fans will be happy to know that The Incredibles will be screened on 21st November.
Food trucks will be around from 6pm, accompanied by lots of music and fun! Grab your friends and munch on FREE popcorn!

4. Singapore Halloween Fest
Keep the spooks going at the first ever Halloween festival held in the giant water park, Wild Wild Wet. Dress your best for the costume competition, and join the Zombie Maze challenge where the top team floats away with amazing prizes.

7. Beer Yoga
How do you unwind after a challenging week? Do you crack open a cold one with the boys, or get spiritual with some Yoga practice? This November, get the chance to do both, as the Beer Yoga trend arrives in Singapore.
Relax your body with physical exercises – and a drink in hand. You might not burn that many calories, but you should have fun socialising with like-minded beer lovers who like yoga, or yogis who enjoy a cold beer.

8. Get Your Creative Juices Flowin’
Do you spend hours looking at all things artsy on Instagram? Learn the techniques of watercolour painting, and get ready to impress your friends with handmade Christmas cards this December.
Attend a watercolour painting class at The Assembly Ground, where you will gain a comprehensive understanding of watercolour techniques and tools. Pick up brush techniques, sketching and painting styles from artist Leach, who has taught for over 15 years, and worked with companies such as Naiise and the National Gallery of Singapore.

9. Painting On Porcelain
In preparation for Christmas, design some personalised porcelain gifts for your family and friends. During this workshop, not only will participants will be taught how to conceptualise and sketch original designs, they will also explore basic acrylic painting techniques.

10. Singapore Writers Festival
The highly anticipated Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) will be back this November in the Civic District.
The annual SWF presents the world’s major literary talents, while paying special attention to Southeast Asian writers and their works. Over the course of 10 days, engage in a range of panel discussions, workshops and performances celebrating the spoken and written word in Singapore’s official languages.
This year, the festival will be held in The Arts House, The National Gallery and the Asian Civilisations Museum.

11. Art In Architecture
“If a building becomes architecture, then it is art.” This November, cement your understanding of architectural design at the Urban Dialogue exhibition at the URA Centre in Singapore.
This exhibition is presented by Farrells, an award-winning urban design firm which is currently designing the Singapore terminus of the high-speed railway to Kuala Lumpur which is set to open in 2026.
Showcasing the complex process of architectural design and city planning, architectural students will be familiar with the hand sketches, diagrams and physical models. Learn more about the exhibition here.

12. Freedom Film Fest
Freedom Film Fest (FFF) is back in its sixth edition, with the theme “all human beings are created free and equal”. A total of 12 selected films will be featured, with 2 new features specially curated for this year’s showcase.
Gain insights on critical issues confronting humanity, and engage in active discussion with fellow attendees.

13. AccorHotels Food & Wine Festival
If you haven’t heard, AccorHotels’ inaugural Food and Wine Festival is back!
In this culinary celebration, 40 restaurants and bars, 15 hotels and 100 chefs will present a 9-day food festival to tantalise your taste buds. Beyond exciting culinary creations, enjoy a splashing good time at the coolest pool parties and try your hand at cocktail shaking in the masterclasses.
The festival ends with a “Super Sunday Brunch,” held at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa. All restaurants and bars under AccorHotel will be showcasing their signature dishes and drinks, such as the original Singapore Sling prepared by Amos Ting from Raffles Hotel among other interesting alcoholic beverages.

14. Asia Pacific Food Expo
The Asia Pacific Food Expo (APFE) returns for its November fair, with an array of both local and overseas produce for any food-lover.
Dedicated to bringing to you the best food from the Asian region, APFE will showcase a wide selection of quality food items. Be the first to sample the latest products from local merchants, who will launch new and innovative products at the exposition.

15. Anime Festival Asia ’17
Catch the latest Japanese anime and popular culture at the Anime Festival Asia (AFA) this year! Held at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, it features the best of Anisong artistes who will be performing live, as well as special guest performances.
From anime enthusiasts, music lovers, to fans of Japanese popular culture, AFA 2017 has something for everyone. Rock to wildly-anticipated concerts, dress to impress for the Regional Cosplay Championship, and grab autographed posters and collectibles from top artistes.

16. Ubin Waterways Cleanup
Following the UN’s declaration of ‘war’ on ocean plastics, many groups have stepped forward in organising waterways clean-ups. This November, join the passionate guides at Sea Angel to help clean up polluted waterways along Pulau Ubin.
Spend your Sunday morning meaningfully and learn about the mangroves of Pulau Ubin, as well as the effects of rubbish pollution on our marine life.

18. Community Garden Festival
A myriad of fun-filled activities awaits you at HortPark this November! Discover the joys of gardening at the Community Garden Festival, which celebrates the passion and skills of Singapore’s gardeners.
Be impressed by the edible-themed landscape displays created by award-winning designers, and you might even be inspired to recreate these ideas in your home! Learn about innovative gardening technologies used commercially, and how they can be tweaked for your own gardening projects.
In addition, a Kochi booth will be set up in the Lifestyle Corner, bringing you traditional Kochi produce and arts.
The Kochi Prefecture Office will showcase their locally-produced yuzu and ginger plants at the festival. Visitors can also enjoy Yosakoi cultural dance performances, in which performers use wooden clappers as a means to scare birds from rice fields.

19. Turn Up The River
Head down to the Singapore River this November, and be part of a party like no other. 20. The Big Bad Wolf Is Back
Get wild at the Big Bad Wolf Music Festival 2017, where some of the biggest international and regional DJs will spin for the medieval-themed festival. 22. Ed Sheeran Live in Singapore

23. MØ Live in Singapore
