Established in 2007, Max Lewis Consultants Pte Ltd is a professional firm specialising in fair valuation of businesses, assets, equity, debt, complex financial instruments, employee share options in addition to valuing intangible assets and intellectual property. We also specialise in transfer pricing advisory, enterprise risk, fraud risk management services, incorporation, company secretarial, tax advisory work like local, international tax planning, GST ASK and ACAP review.
We are an ACCA approved employer, Accredited Training Office (ATO) of the ICAEW (UK), and also an accredited employer for the Certified Tax Adviser (CTA) program by the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK).

MDM KAREN XU
Executive Chairman cum Managing Director (China and HK)
Being one of the founding members, Mdm Xu played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. Prior to this, she has more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the retail business before venturing into the food and beverage industry. Currently, Mdm Xu holds directorship of several companies locally, China and Hong Kong.
MR. ROBERT LEE
Senior Manager, Business and IP Valuation Division (HK)
Robert Lee assists Mr. Albert Tan, as Senior Business Valuation Manager, covering valuations jobs in areas of mergers and acquisition, matrimonial disputes and tax disputes cases in addition to valuation of complex financial instruments. He also assists Mr. Albert Tan’s as a litigation support assistant for an expert witness, litigation matters involving damages, loss quantification. He was previously from a property valuation firm for five years in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he was an Audit Senior with a Chinese Certified Public Accounting firm for four years. He is a Malaysian national who is stationed in HK.
MR. JAMES TAN
Chief Marketing Officer (China)
James Tan is responsible for the Company’s key marketing and client servicing initiatives. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial, taxation and change management consulting field. He has worked in an international consulting firm before moving on to the commercial sector where he held positions as Group GM & COO with exposures to operations across the region. He is a Malaysian and based in China & HK.
MR ALBERT TAN
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer cum Company Secretary
Mr. Albert Tan has over 25 years of finance, M&A, tax, secretarial, legal experience, where he was CFO for both private and public companies across diverse industries. He started from the Big Four.
He has led in pre-IPO capital raising, debt restructuring, and transactions relating to business valuation, tax restructuring, cross border tax planning and statutory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and financial reporting under US GAAP, IFRS and SFRS. His clients include SMEs, MNCs, government agencies, public listed companies across diverse industries both locally in Singapore and also in ASEAN.
Mr Albert Tan is a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), Fellow of the Certified Practising Accountant of CPA Australia, Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser (Australia), Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax & GST), International Certified Valuation Specialist (ICVS) of the International Association of Certified Valuation Specialists (IACVS), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA) charter holder of the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS). He also obtained the International M&A Expert credential from the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA) GmbH. He holds a Masters of International Taxation, New South Wales University, MBA (Finance), Leicester University and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of London.
Currently, he sits on the Finance Committee of 365 Cancer Prevention Society.
MS. XU QINGXIU
Tax Manager, International Tax & Transfer Pricing (China)
Xu Qingxiu is stationed in Hong Kong and assists Albert Tan for all of the International Tax and Transfer Pricing assignments. She is the daughter of the founder, Mdm Xu and started her tax career from a Chinese Certified Public Accounting firm where she has gained a wide range of exposure dealing in China, HK taxation and Individual income tax. She is currently studying for the ICAEW examinations and CICPA examinations.
MS. ZHANG BING BING
Manager, Accounting & Payroll Services (China)
Zhang Bing Bing is responsible for overseeing the team providing accounting advisory services to our SME clients. She passed her CICPA examinations and obtained a degree in Accountancy from the Beijing University and has worked with China, Hong and Kong listed companies as Finance Manager for the last 10 years prior to joining us. She is stationed in Hong Kong and travel to China and Singapore when required.
MR. NORMAN KWOK
Manager, Corporate Secretarial Division (HK)
Norman Kwok is responsible for the Company’s corporate secretarial division including related corporate compliance. He holds a Bachelor of Law degree (Second class Honors) from the University of London, is a Chartered Secretary (HK) and is Sarbanes Oxley Certified (USA/EU/Japan) with more than 5 years of experience with HKSE, ASX, FTSE, AIM listed companies prior to joining us. He is stationed in HK.
MR. EDWARD CHUNG
Manager, Risk Consulting Division (HK)
Edward Chung Is responsible for the Company’s Enterprise Risk and Fraud Risk Management services including carrying out due diligence and forensic investigative work. He is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Risk Assurance Professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (First class Honors) from the University of London with more than 5 years of working experience with a few US and European MNC prior to joining us. He is stationed in HK.
